We need to remember that very large group of people who leave prison but who are never released from their sentence…..our Registered Citizens. They are the Lepers of our society and the Church is not ministering to them in any significant manner. In Florida the Registry is for life and anyone on the Registry may not participate in ANY ministry of the Catholic Church nor be on Church property except for one Sunday Mass at the discretion of the pastor. If we are truly followers of Christ, we must find a way to minister to these people and their families.

Thank you for comment! There is much work to be done in reaching prisoners and their families both during imprisonment and also when dealing with the lasting effects.
