At Dismas Ministry the focus of our work is supporting the spiritual care of the imprisoned…members of the Body of Christ who, many times, are forgotten. The spiritual transformation of inmates has a positive effect on everyone impacted by crime – offenders, victims, their families, and the community.

Together, we keep the mission alive and provide Catholic spiritual resources to anyone who makes a request. Catholic bibles, prayer books, and the study courses are the most requested items, and the demand continues to increase. As more prisoners request our materials, the need for donations also increases.

We established Mercy Circle in 2019. Since then, 70 people have enrolled in this monthly giving club. In less than three years, we have raised almost $40,000. The decision to entrust regular gifts to Dismas Ministry strengthens our efforts to provide for the spiritual needs of our brothers and sisters behind bars. These recurring gifts help sustain our monthly fulfillment of the mission, and bring peace of mind to staff and volunteers engaged in this important work.
